Elliott loves Aunt Katy. He just does. However, he did not let her finish reading him this book...

Me and E got a snow-day!

All we really did was just snuggle and stay warm! OH!.. and have milk and cookies.

So, I haven't said much lately about my book. I'm all done. I have finished my part. Seth is now in the process of editing for me. God bless him. I don't know if I said it before, but it's just a little story about a cowgirl-boot named Evelyn. She's pretty cute, and she knows how to rock it. See.

Hopefully it won't be long now until I can do something fun with it... like have a book! Go me.

Ps: I'm slightly annoyed with the 2-day weekend. How bout' 2 more days...
Real men read, don'tcha know?..
and keep reading...
and they eat Greek food with their Mommy and their Lala...
yum, salads and gyros...
and they go to The World Market and... OK! I know this was mean. I should not do this to my little man. BUT I DID!!! And it makes me laugh a little...
here we go... getting the man-hood back!
and they read some more...
and some more, with Aunt Jack-Jack...
Goodnight Moon is a favorite right now.

The End.

Dryer baby 2. The sequel. I swear, every-time I open this thing, Elliott just dives in head-first! It happens so fast that I can't do anything to stop him. He is such a weirdo...
A cute weirdo...
Oh yeah, he also likes to lay on the kitchen floor and brush his teeth for like 10 minutes. See, WEIRD!!! He is my kid though. I can't say much.
Ps: LOST is back y'all!!!
Have a happy weekend!

Love,

Arley.

Pretty:Sad

So, I saw Revolutionary Road tonight. It's such a beautifully-tragic story. One with which, I can unfortunately identify. Leo and Kate, were of course, flawless as usual. And here is the big-fat answer to the big-fat question: We all need Jesus.

Amen.

*Edit: I did read the book before I saw the movie. I would recommend doing that, if you're going to see this film. The End.

A few things...

Lolie turned 25 this weekend! Age looks good on her, as always...
Elijah turned 1! Precious baby. Here he is, on this day one year ago!!!
AND, I had breakfast with my dear, sweet, MaryLindsey this morning. She has 3 babies in her belly right now. 3 babies. Triplets. 1.2.3... WHAT!!! I can't wait to watch this unfold, and to see her lovely little family grow. Wow. She's already my hero. I love you ML! You've got this.
Then Shannonigans and I had some fun in the ville of Nash...
Twas a lovely little day. Minus the fact that we had to pay another 800 buck-a-roos to fix the car.
Oh well. Such is life. We all should know that.

monday.

The kids at school are studying land-forms right now, and I happened to catch a conversation this morning that involved a certain little girl threatening a certain little boy. She said "My breath is the freezing wind that will ice your lake over!".. BAhahaha. Love it. And her of course.
Um, of course tools are for girls. DUH.
Trivia: Do kids eat sushi? Answer: Apparently so.
My little man. He keeps on growing without permission..
And Ash, I love this picture of you. I miss you. Must you live so far away in Africa?.. I don't feel so crazy when you're around. I can't wait til' the mail comes for me from over the ocean!
The End.

So, funny story...

My sister and I ended up at the Ryman tonight for a Bryan Adams show.. random! But we had so much fun. Really. Truly. I have a lot I could say about this. However, it's probably the wrong forum. Sammy-Sue, do you know why that might be??? I think so. ANY-WHO.. I love my sister so much. She is such a special person. To me, and to the bettering of human kind. She's lovely.
Also, at a very fragile time, when life feels so breakable, I'm thanking God for my amazing friends. It's such a blessing to have people in my life that aren't afraid to face the unknown with me. Real friends, that share their pieces, and help me finish the puzzle..

may you all be filled with peace and hope.

love,

arley.

Saturday morning breakfast with our BFFs Sammy-Sue and Eli..

Ya know, I've noticed that ever since the boys were born, there are hardly any pictures of Samantha and I together.. except one that I know of. A very odd woman at the zoo took one of us, but my eyes are a mysterious shade of ice-blue. I do not have blue eyes. It freaks me out. Any-who, I guess these guys are cuter anyway.. here they are: Woody and Buzz..

The 3 of us (mommy, daddy, and e-rocket) have been carpooling this week. We managed to break both of our cars + one more (that does not belong to us) over the holidays. So now we are left with a red jeep that does not belong to us either... please don't break! Any-way, it's been kind of nice in a way. I like spending my mornings with the boys...
At school today, the kiddies all declared their "winter wishes"...
yum..
what?.. you mean you didn't wish for Tinkerbell to come this winter?
swirly-twirly art projects..
And a little shout-out to EPE! Our first student to complete her South America map...

The End. 4 now.

love,

arley.

Coming soon to a life near you...

I really am so proud of Seth (and every-one involved) for knocking his first feature film out into existence last summer. I can't wait til' it all comes together, and debuts summer 09'. Let the editing and sleepless nights begin...
PS: Ben Worley, I doubt you read my blog. But you are a freaking talented kid. I can't wait until I'm 80, and you're 71. We can have wheelchair races, and throw Kleenex boxes at Matt. Also... we will have no teeth. And Seth will think our names are Viking and Robart.

Pack your lunch-box Jackie.
I have been meaning to post my goals for this new year they call 2009, but I just can't. I wrote them all down, and I know them by name. I know exactly where I want to be this time next year. Well... not exactly. I just have high hopes. I almost don't want to publish them here. Instead I will keep them close to my heart, and I'll keep you all posted on how it's going. Let's just say for now... I want to find myself inside of this mess that I've made. I want her to be lovely in every way, and to give back all that she has been given. To be blessed, and to bless. To be creative, endearing, in-love, and never sitting still. To breathe in moments of beauty from which she will inevitably part ways. Her destination never ending her journey, and the Lord always the King of her heart...

Shades.

And that's a RAP...

So Friday night, we once again put on our game faces...
Jackie hates penguins...
girlz...
mo' girlz...
We all played this game:
Today, I had the very best day with my husband! We mostly spent it making faces...
looking gorgeously evil...
eating at Mellow Mushroom...
uh what...
3d-glassing it...
yeah...
yo...
Then we had dinner with our friends. Here I am with my identical shoe twin...
Cheesecake Factory...
We also saw THIS MOVIE, and it was so very, very good!
When we got back to pick up the E-rock, this is where I found him... sleeping in his grandparent's giant bed...
I'm feeling very hopeful...
This is very good news.

Love,

Arley.
