These are the gorgeous new shelves in our classroom...

It's just so beautiful, I think my eyes filled with tears...

Remember these? My sister got Elliott the most precious pair of rain boots, and gave them to me at my baby shower...
Oh, how time flies...
They are still quite a bit too large, but he s them...
And one day soon, he will be busy splashing through mud puddles! I do love having a boy.

Stuff, Events, and other Stuff...

So, the first thing that happened, was that Seth gave Elliott some hair tips...
He really enjoys having his hair styled...
All done...
And now, they start to copy each other... #1
#2...
#3...
They're pretty cute...
Then, Uncle Matt and Uncle Ben came over to see us...
Ellie LOVES them... *(He started bawling when they left, and it was very sad/adorable)
Next, we went to the Oscars! But really we just watched them at Dave and Steph's...
Glam...
It's something about that golden-butt...
Well, we you Oscar. See you next year.

I knew you needed it.

Just checkin' in...

Elliott and I had some extra time today after school, so we stopped at Target to get some dried rice & noodles, and then we came home and made these "shakers"! It was fun. Elliott loves dancing with them, observing them, and listening to the different sounds. It was also a great way to avoid all the chores I got behind on while we were sick!
He also did the funniest thing... He moved them around to different squares (of tile) for awhile, making sure that each one was in it's own square. He's so interesting to watch...
And, he likes to put on my shoes...
Oh goodness...
I hope you have something in your life that's just as cute as my little guy...

SO!... I definitely had the worst stomach-bug of all time this Valentine's Day. Seth and Elliott were so kind to bring me some trashy magazines, Ginger Ale, and a card that played the Jaws theme.
The front says "You know it's coming...". They re-wrote the inside to say this... (Hope it's quick and not fatal... baha)
And in less tragic news, E-cools got a new style, using Daddy's messy hair-do stuff...
Here's to a better week and weekend!

Is it Friday yet? Seriously...

Maybe I'm just a freak... but I'm super obsessed with Montessori math right now. Fractions:
halves, and fourths, and all that jazz...
paperwork...
smarty-kids...
OK, so here's the real deal: It's been a LONG week. Seth and I have been sharing a car for 5 days, and it's been insane. I feel like it should be March 27th 2017 by now! SERIOUSLY!!! So, Sammy and Eli picked us up from school today, and I have never seen so much misery...
total depression...
passing notes about how much life sucks...
fighting, stealing, cheating?.. who really knows...
All I know is that we had a terrible afternoon with these two. They were sick and fussy, and all the yucky moods combined plus a billion. Please God let this week be over tomorrow!

The Freakin' End.

My Girl Scout cookies arrived today, and I have already eaten one whole box...

That's probably bad.

Monday, February 9, 2009

Monday is Monday.

My little Cheeseburger likes to wear his Mickey Mouse hat sideways, making it into shark ears...
and yes, he wants all of those bananas...
Mr. Cutes...
Also my friends, I am convinced that I definitely should have learned to do math Montessori style! I would be a thousand-times smarter by now...
and smarter...
and smarter!..

Now, on to Tuesday.

This past summer, I spent a good number of nights lying awake because my husband was out filming his first-ever feature length film, in the middle of the freaking night. And then, at 2, 3, 4 o'clock am, he would come strolling in, banging his equipment about, and I would be paranoid beyond reason that our 10 month old would be suddenly awakened, and I would be up til' 6 am, only to repeat this sequence of events all over again the very next day! I regretfully, was not the most supportive wife during this time. You should talk to some of the other people who worked on this project, and I'm sure they would agree!
But tonight, while I watched the "not-so-rough" cut of this movie with Seth, I was just completely blown away by how good it is!!! Seriously. I am, as my husband would agree, VERY hard to impress. The Time Closet is very impressive. I am so proud of every-one involved! So as fate would have it, my loss of sleep did not turn out to be for nothing. I would gladly lose sleep for this again. And again, and again, and again!
Also, is there anyone out there who loves pumpkin muffies from Panera more than me and the Ellie-man? I doubt it.

*Ps:

Here is a little demo of what Seth has been working on for my book! It's far from finished, but I'm getting really excited about how it's turning out!...

A school update:

What are we doing?... well, everything Valentine! Card-making...
clasping/clipping...
grasping/transfer work...
telling time...
and working on Europe maps!..

Ta-da!

This is a true story...

Here are the boys. Seth is having a sandwich, and E is eating a banana...
BAha...
Yep. This is how we spend our evenings...
So, the rest of you can keep on partying. We will just be over here, hanging out in Elliott's tunnel.

Down in the Jungle Room...

We ditched the Superbowl for Elvis. I can't say that I'm sorry, because we had too much fun...

The End.
