Art-see...
Welp friends, it's Friday night, and my true love is out til' the early hours of the morning trying to finish his movie. So... I am trying to finish-up some projects that I started this week. I have been thinking about opening an Etsy shop, but didn't know where to start. I was considering recycling my "battery friends" idea, and starting with that. I used photo-shop to make some examples for myself. In real life, they would be hand-painted. I have so many ideas for these little fellas. What do you think? Seriously?..
you fill my heart with acid
life is short
Also, I just decided that I was going to make a shirt, well... sew stuff onto an old shirt...
It's pretty ridiculous, and will probably fall apart the first time I wear it... but I TRIED!!!
this is a bad picture. it's much more color-full actually

It's fancy.
PS: The house stuff (us getting a house) is going really well. So far so good...
AND!.. if we do in fact get it, not only will we have keys to our very first home by this time next week... you should SEE the ideas I have floating around in my head for this darling little bungalow!!!
love love love.
PPS: Remember that book I wrote/illustrated??? Well... it's slowly finding it's way back into my heart... we shall see...

We all live in the CrAZy submarine!
Chocolate Chip Cookie Face...

Oh My Gosh! Where is Elliott?!?!
Oh OK, there you are!..
Rite of Passage, his first pair... (He did run out of the store with these on, before we paid for them)...
Scary Lola, who brought me brownies and ice-cream Friday night...
And don't forget the yummy sushi I ate while out with my gurls...
Thankfully, I got to see quite a few lovely faces this weekend, and squeeze some "girl time" in. That was nice. I love my friends. On the down-side, Elliott is sick AGAIN! He will be chillin' at home with Daddy tomorrow, and visiting Dr. Walters :)
Did you have a good weekend?

Just a few things...
Hi friends. Just wanted to catch you up, so here's some info:
1. We are super stressed-out around the Worley residence. With all of Seth's video deadlines, The Time Closet, and the crappy weather (that has prevented me from getting Elliott to the park), we are just seriously losing our minds! On top of videos, rain, tornadoes, and general busy-ness, we are trying to close on a house in 2 weeks... WHAT!?! yeah... (more on that later if all goes well)...
2. So, please pray for us.
3. I am thankful that Elliott goes to school with me. I love that I can check on him, give him hugs, know and love his wonderful teachers as friends, and watch him play on the playground through my classroom windows... (I got this picture of him today, and a kiss)... (OH!.. and don't worry, he's on the playground. He's not in baby-jail)...
4. I love and want this couch/clawfoot tub!..
5. I NEED it to be time to go to Boston already!!!
6. My mom TOTALLY rocks, and she gets to live with me when she is old and has fake teeth.
7. I am a very lucky girl who likes to be dramatic.
Love. Love. xoxo.

This is my 100th post...
Is Elliott not the sweetest?.. He is so loving and gentle with his baby-doll...
He has become very attached to it lately...
He talks to it, and gives it kisses... (I say "it" because Seth and I cannot agree on the sex of the baby)...
He is just our sweet-hearted little boy...
You know, about a week and a 1/2 ago, Seth hooked me up with the new Jars of Clay album (which comes out on the 21st), and I have been listening to it non-stop. It's really-really good. There are several songs on it that truly resonate with me. One of them is called "Boys (Lesson One)" and it brings tears to my eyes every time. It's the whole "father speaking to his son" type of thing. So, of course that makes me all emotional when I listen to it and think of Seth and Elliott. Elliott loves his Daddy so much. He can hardly contain his excitement when Seth gets home from work, or picks him up from school... or whatever! He's a very lucky kid. Seth is a very lucky kid too. He has an incredible Dad. And ya know, I'm not a guy (I hope you knew that), but I can only imagine that the bond between a father and his son is something magnificent and irreplaceable. Within those relationships, lie countless opportunities to strengthen humankind. Here are the lyrics to that song:
Lesson one - do not hide
Lesson two - there are right ways to fight
And if you have questions
We can talk through the night
So you know who you are
And you know what you want
I’ve been where you’re going
And it’s not that far
It’s too far to walk
But you don’t have to run
You’ll get there in time
Lesson three - you’re not alone
Not since I saw you start breathing on your own
You can leave, you can run, this will still be your home
So you know who you are
And you know what you want
I’ve been where you’re going
And it’s not that far
It’s too far to walk
But you don’t have to run
You’ll get there in time
Get there in time
In time, to wonder where the days have gone
In time, to be old enough to wish that you were young
When good things are unraveling, bad things come undone
You weather love and lose your innocence
There will be liars and thieves who take from you
Not to undermine the consequence
But you are not what you do
And when you need it most
I have a hundred reasons why I love you
If you weather love and lose your innocence
Just remember - lesson one
Seth's grandfather passed away a couple of days ago. The whole fam is in Texas, except for the little E-bear and I.
We miss you little family. We are sending lots of love and prayers to you all. May peace and love, and lots of hope, fill your hearts tonight.

A little bit of a lot...
If you're looking to lighten your work-load, I would not suggest becoming a Montessori guide... or teacher of any kind for that matter...
So, thanks to the storms and floods on Thursday night, we spent Friday cleaning out the cubby-room because it was SOAKING WET!..
After that, I went out with some peeps to relax a little (via pedicures)...
And now, I will share with you the humble beginnings of Smellfire...
Seth, Ben, and Arley are starting a band, and recording an album...
It's absurd...
and fun...
I think the boys forgot I was there at one point... (oh well... I'm still pretty excited!)
Now, on to finishing my pillow. I took an old dress that will never fit me the same again (babies are sweet that way) and turned it into a new pillowcase...
I kinda like it better as a pillow anyway...
but I'm not quite finished yet...

And I can't wait to go here tomorrow afternoon!
