Arley Golightly the Christmas tree...

It doesn't get any cuter than this. No, no, I'm so sorry. You are wrong. I am right. He just wins.
A morning in downtown Franklin is like the very middle of a cinnamon roll. It warmed my heart this morning, when it was feeling chilly. I think tonight we will decorate our little place. And, on a whole other subject... my son has freakish-ly big hands for a one year old. He just does. Are you feeling merry?

We ARE feeling a bit merry. I've missed five holiday seasons--five whole years!--with my family, who are all in Seattle while I'm stuck here in Chattanooga, but regardless! We got our Christmas tree and decorated it after our Thanksgiving meal... which happened to be two plates worth of leftovers our friend brought us from her Thanksgiving with her family... I just realized how "Oliver Twist" that all sounds! But still... Feeling merry. A little bit anyway.

PS. Elliot does win. I'm a little intimidated for when we start to have kids of our own... I mean, will they be able to even compete with Elliot? I'm not sure... I might have to make sure they never see a picture of him because I don't know what it might do to their self-esteem... That is, when we actually HAVE children...
