This is my 100th post...

Is Elliott not the sweetest?.. He is so loving and gentle with his baby-doll...
He has become very attached to it lately...
He talks to it, and gives it kisses... (I say "it" because Seth and I cannot agree on the sex of the baby)...
He is just our sweet-hearted little boy...
You know, about a week and a 1/2 ago, Seth hooked me up with the new Jars of Clay album (which comes out on the 21st), and I have been listening to it non-stop. It's really-really good. There are several songs on it that truly resonate with me. One of them is called "Boys (Lesson One)" and it brings tears to my eyes every time. It's the whole "father speaking to his son" type of thing. So, of course that makes me all emotional when I listen to it and think of Seth and Elliott. Elliott loves his Daddy so much. He can hardly contain his excitement when Seth gets home from work, or picks him up from school... or whatever! He's a very lucky kid. Seth is a very lucky kid too. He has an incredible Dad. And ya know, I'm not a guy (I hope you knew that), but I can only imagine that the bond between a father and his son is something magnificent and irreplaceable. Within those relationships, lie countless opportunities to strengthen humankind. Here are the lyrics to that song:

Lesson one - do not hide
Lesson two - there are right ways to fight
And if you have questions
We can talk through the night

So you know who you are
And you know what you want
I’ve been where you’re going
And it’s not that far
It’s too far to walk
But you don’t have to run
You’ll get there in time

Lesson three - you’re not alone
Not since I saw you start breathing on your own
You can leave, you can run, this will still be your home

So you know who you are
And you know what you want
I’ve been where you’re going
And it’s not that far
It’s too far to walk
But you don’t have to run
You’ll get there in time
Get there in time

In time, to wonder where the days have gone
In time, to be old enough to wish that you were young
When good things are unraveling, bad things come undone
You weather love and lose your innocence

There will be liars and thieves who take from you
Not to undermine the consequence
But you are not what you do
And when you need it most
I have a hundred reasons why I love you

If you weather love and lose your innocence
Just remember - lesson one

Seth's grandfather passed away a couple of days ago. The whole fam is in Texas, except for the little E-bear and I.

We miss you little family. We are sending lots of love and prayers to you all. May peace and love, and lots of hope, fill your hearts tonight.

xoxo
